Just don?t touch any of their old clients for a year at least. Just don?t touch> any of their old clients for a year at least.Check the clause in your contract - they could restrict both the distance from their offices within which you can can run a similar business and impose a time period in relation to 'poaching business/existing clients'. ACAS would be a very good place to start as per above post - they have a helpline. I had a restrictive covenant in at least one employment contract with law firms I had worked with. Make sure you only operate in compliance unless you're advised by a lawyer you have a case for unfair contractual term. They could sue.
