Sponsored walk for Tsunami - Genuine or not?

An Asian family called at my door this afternoon seeking sponsorship for a school walk to be held in Dulwich Park this Sunday. They told me that they were raising money for the Japanese tsunami and I was happy to hand over a tenner.

I asked the usual questions, looked at the form and the fact that they seemed nice people made me feel that this was genuine. However, I'm sure the lady said the girls went to Colwell. Is there a Colwell school/club in East Dulwich? Are there any parents out there that know about this charity event or have I be conned?
