Feel like it's time to redecorate my 2.5 yr old daughters bedroom. Anyone have any good cheap ideas? Before she was born I put up jungle stickers (did not find out sex beforehand) and I feel like she's totally bored of them (and has pulled half of them off anyway). Want to keep the walls and blackout blind cream and not planning on changing her furniture. So whatever I do it's not going to look dramatically different. But she's getting really into dressing up, princesses and all that jazz so feel like she would love something along those lines (although I'm not a massive fan of lots of pink girly stuff). Any ideas? She's still in a grobag so can't even buy her a new duvet set. Does anyone have one of those little curtains that go above the bed like a tent?? Inspiration???

i saw a lovelyhouse where the walls were white and then there were lots of picture frames painted on the walls so the little girl and friends could all put paintings in the "frames", but she told me they had stuck pictures in the frames to begin with.
There are so many things you can do, depending on how much money you want to spend. If you want to keep costs low you always can do some decorations yourself. I painted few pictures for my daughter's room but if you are not very into painting you can make something out of paper like dream catchers and hang them on the lamp. We decided to dedicate one of the walls for a mural but again if you don't want to paint you can make paper butterflies, flowers, castle, etc. and stick it on. It?s a great fun especially when doing it with your child they always want to help :)
You can get some big sticker-type things which stick on the wall but can be taken off (I think) - they used to stock them in the Horniman shop. Lots of lovely things not necessarily all pink and girly - animals, fish, etc. Always thought they look really good.

I was leafing through this book in the library the other day

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Domino-Decorating-Room---Room-Creating/dp/1416575464/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1307102814&sr=1-1

Its got some beautiful ideas for kids bedrooms from what I remember (it must of done cos made a mental note to remember the name of the book). It is an interiors book but the kids rooms weren't pretentious in anyway and easy to replicate. worth a look x

    • Some newspapers, such as The Times, organise deliveries throughout most of the UK. They obviously use subcontractors and I would rate their service as 9 out of 10. We used them previously before switching to Budgens on Half Moon Lane.
