Recruiting Infant Scientists! :)

Recommended Posts

At the InfantLab (based in Goldsmiths College, New Cross) we investigate the development of perceptual and motor skills and abilities in early life from infancy to adulthood. We are particularly interested in how inputs from different senses (such as vision and touch) are brought together so that babies and children are able to make sense of the world around them. Studies are presented as fun, age appropriate games. At the moment we are particularly seeking young infants (6 months and under)to participate in studies exploring visual-tactile spatial processing. You can find more about us at http://sites.gold.ac.uk/infantlab/. If you are interested in registering your child then you can use the following link https://sites.gold.ac.uk/infantlab/take-part/. If you have any questions please contact Giulia at [email protected]

    • Post Boris the Conservatives aimed to raise the number of police but having paid some to retire early and paid redundancy that must have been a huge waste of public money, only to U turn.. Anyway here's hoping for more and better community policing, especially at times when crime is higher such as just after school finishes. CCTV is a known deterrent. Police have mentioned that many times when we or neighbours and friends have been victims of crime. Even disguised criminals can be tracked that way.
    • But if she's just singing, how would that be a welfare issue? I realise it's at unsocial hours, but if the noise team can't help I'm not sure how the police could? Unless you could present it to the community police as a problem between neighbours, but she may not realise it IS a problem! Someone above said she doesn't open the door. You could try putting a note through the door? Or perhaps a friendly card along the lines of "I'm sure you don't realise .... but ...."?
    • I don't want to be negative, and maybe I've misunderstood the purpose of CCTV, but if it's supposed to be to identify people I'm not sure how it would help if the attackers are masked, unless there are other identifying features?
