Barcelona Accommodation Recommendations?

Hello Everyone,

We have flights to Barcelona after Christmas and need to book somewhere to stay - for two adults plus toddler.

There are an overwhelming number of Airbnb options so I wondered if anyone had stayed anywhere particularly successful? I would prefer to book from a recommendation.

Also open to hotels, though the ones I have looked at so far are pretty pricey!
