Victorian front doors - where did you get yours?

Families of ED with lovely front doors. Where *did* you get it? We're really struggling to figure out how to get a genuine Victorian style 4-panel door. They have raised mouldings to the exterior which faux ones from Howdens do not. The London Door Company is way too overpriced. I don't want to get reclaimed as we want a new, snug fit.

Are there alternative I should know about? Joiners always point me to Howdens but they're not quite authentic. Thanks

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
