cantthinkofaname
Families of ED with lovely front doors. Where *did* you get it? We're really struggling to figure out how to get a genuine Victorian style 4-panel door. They have raised mouldings to the exterior which faux ones from Howdens do not. The London Door Company is way too overpriced. I don't want to get reclaimed as we want a new, snug fit.Are there alternative I should know about? Joiners always point me to Howdens but they're not quite authentic. alex_b
We used the Bespoke Door Company (020 8244 7236). They were expensive (not as London Door Company) but they were really really good. Given the photo you've taken has Banham locks I imagine that's an expensive door. cantthinkofaname
Oh it's just an example I saw. We don't necessarily need Banham locks, I'm sure the door companies make a tidy margin from furniture and locks... Waffo
WE got ours from runcent joinery on north cross road. 3 of our neighbours have since got their front doors from them too. cals
Beechall Joinery for doors, they manufacture all of the Banham doors for them - better off going direct to the manufacturer Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/175598-victorian-front-doors-where-did-you-get-yours/#findComment-1419524 Share on other sites
