snowboarder
As a self confessed pram-a-holic, am currently enjoying this website for info - it's particularly good on twin/tandems.Isn't this one nice?!? Ruth_Baldock
I actually saw that in John Lewis yesterday! Nice and light yet sturdy. Don't think much of it in single mode, though... Ruth_Baldock
Cannot Stand the Phil and teds. So much so that I bought a maclaren quest on the sly and use that with cheeky s now instead. No option but a p&t for us as we get the bus everywhere. Have heard excellent things about the Jane powertwin though! Think fuschia may have had one? Anyway, i've tried one out with seb and friend. It was loooverrrly. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17545-which-pram/#findComment-440817 Share on other sites
snowboarder
My current (main) issue with the p&t is that 13w old is too big for cocoon, but too little to sit up. Once in 2 seat mode you can't recline either of the seats so basically it's lie flat or sit up properly. I think they are not good for babies from about 3/4m until more like 8/9m really. I want a mountain buggy duet - side by side but same width as p&t. Husband not so keen on expanding pram collection. Echo why can't you get the mb on the bus? Can get p&t on.... anna_r
My baby was too big for P&T cocoon early on too. We put her in sitting up mode on the back (with zips undone so it is as reclining as possible) with one of these for a couple of months. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000DZS720/ref=oss_productThe P&T is definitely not ideal but I haven't found something else that seems a lot better. snowboarder
I think the new p&t verve IS better - doubles seat reclines substantially more. My explorer doubles seat does not recline AT ALL. The other really crap thing is the main sunhood, which simply just pops off all the time when the doubles seat is on top (baby in cocoon below). Useless. Can't believe the detailing is so crap. Ruth_Baldock
YES, us too! Bloody sunhood- useless. And non reclining bottom seat? Also useless. grumble grumble. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17545-which-pram/#findComment-440939 Share on other sites
Sonja
You need to complain about the Explorer sunhood - either to P&T or the place you bought it from or both. It's a design flaw that P&T are aware of - they're redesigning the hood and if you contact them they'll send you a new one when they're ready. Although I've been waiting a while now. It is very annoying. You can get a Sport doubles seat, it fits on the Explorer too, which does recline - (although they don't recline that much in any case). You can get them pretty cheaply on ebay. Otherwise what I did with my (very big) second baby was just put her in the bottom lie flat bit with a blanket in it, instead of the cocoon, which extends it's life by a month or two. Especially in the summer. Or put your car seat on the front and have them in that? (if you have a maxi cosi and get the adapters?). I am a bit of a P&T addict - sold mine and then a couple of months later my older one decided she didn't want to walk at all, so bought a new explorer. Have never found anything better. Had high hopes for the Mountain Buggy inline two -seater, but having investigated it, have decided it looks rubbish. Belle
I love the nipper but travel by bus too much for it to be an option. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17545-which-pram/#findComment-441352 Share on other sites
snowboarder
Belle you seem to be under the misguided belief than one buggy is enough. Clearly you can have your 'bus' buggy, your 'car' buggy, your 'walking around east dulwich' buggy etc....;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17545-which-pram/#findComment-441363 Share on other sites

I have to say that all three buggies have been very well used and I don't regret a single one, so it's not crazy! Belle
hah. But can you have all 3 in double versions?! That wd be too much. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17545-which-pram/#findComment-441396 Share on other sites
helena handbasket
Ha, is there actually a double buggy that fits on a bus? I honestly don't know how I would manage two children on any level. The critical double buggy issue would probably make my head explode. snowboarder
I've been on the bus with a Phil and teds. You could have an umbrella fold for the car (or we have bee plus buggy board) and a nice comfy side by side for shopping and walking round (has to be said husband is taking some convincing on the last of these...)
