Cannot Stand the Phil and teds. So much so that I bought a maclaren quest on the sly and use that with cheeky s now instead. No option but a p&t for us as we get the bus everywhere. Have heard excellent things about the Jane powertwin though! Think fuschia may have had one? Anyway, i've tried one out with seb and friend. It was loooverrrly.

My current (main) issue with the p&t is that 13w old is too big for cocoon, but too little to sit up. Once in 2 seat mode you can't recline either of the seats so basically it's lie flat or sit up properly. I think they are not good for babies from about 3/4m until more like 8/9m really. I want a mountain buggy duet - side by side but same width as p&t. Husband not so keen on expanding pram collection.

Echo why can't you get the mb on the bus? Can get p&t on....

My baby was too big for P&T cocoon early on too. We put her in sitting up mode on the back (with zips undone so it is as reclining as possible) with one of these for a couple of months.

The P&T is definitely not ideal but I haven't found something else that seems a lot better.

I think the new p&t verve IS better - doubles seat reclines substantially more. My explorer doubles seat does not recline AT ALL. The other really crap thing is the main sunhood, which simply just pops off all the time when the doubles seat is on top (baby in cocoon below). Useless. Can't believe the detailing is so crap.

You need to complain about the Explorer sunhood - either to P&T or the place you bought it from or both. It's a design flaw that P&T are aware of - they're redesigning the hood and if you contact them they'll send you a new one when they're ready. Although I've been waiting a while now. It is very annoying.

You can get a Sport doubles seat, it fits on the Explorer too, which does recline - (although they don't recline that much in any case). You can get them pretty cheaply on ebay. Otherwise what I did with my (very big) second baby was just put her in the bottom lie flat bit with a blanket in it, instead of the cocoon, which extends it's life by a month or two. Especially in the summer. Or put your car seat on the front and have them in that? (if you have a maxi cosi and get the adapters?).

I am a bit of a P&T addict - sold mine and then a couple of months later my older one decided she didn't want to walk at all, so bought a new explorer. Have never found anything better. Had high hopes for the Mountain Buggy inline two -seater, but having investigated it, have decided it looks rubbish.

We have all three of those buggy options as well. One child. I have to say that all three buggies have been very well used and I don't regret a single one, so it's not crazy!
