Acrid smell of smoke this evening

Arrived home (Dunstans Road, near the Dawson Heights area) a few minutes ago and I'm noticing a strong and particularly acrid smell of smoke - smells like plastics have been burning. (Thought for a heart-stopping moment that it was coming from ours or one of our neighbours'.)

Been out to have a look around and can't see any plumes of smoke from bonfires in the area.

Anyone else noticed or have any info?

There was a massive fire in a warehouse at Enfield yesterday - massive plumes of smoke visible from ten miles away - and it's presumably still smouldering. The wind's currently from the north west, maybe you're getting a whiff of that?

Thanks. That could well explain it. However the smell is quite strong, nostril-stingingly so. Therefore I was thinking the source may have been more local.
