Sally Eva
This is one of the regular Saturday morning sociable cycle rides -- this time themed around the life of Charlie Chaplin, the most dramatic rags-to-riches story ever told. He was (probably) born in East Street but spent most of his hard and destitute childhood in Lambeth before the rise to fame that everyone knows about. The ride starts in Peckham Square (SE15 5JR) between the Pulse and the Library at 10am and finishes back there at 12 noon. A two-hour ride Chaplin was born from Peckham can include his birthplace and many places he lived in while growing up, including the Lambeth Workhouse. The attached pdf describes the route and briefly Chaplin's life. The route is here: http://www.mapmyride.com/workout/2508868517 and it's all in the London basin so flat and easy paced.
