Kitchen joinery companies

Hi! We are thinking of having our kitchen made, maybe in shaker style or something clean and modern. I've seen some lovely joinery companies online including west and Reid and dovetail joints. we don't have a huge budget but it would be lovely to use a local firm. Has anyone used any of the local Joinery companies and if so, what do you think? Could you share some of your photos please? Thanks so much.

I used IKEA carcasses and had shaker style doors and one custom cupboard made by a carpenter well recommended by EDF. Similar to the devol style - https://www.devolkitchens.co.uk/kitchens/shaker-kitchen

As it happens, the carpenter did a sloppy job (he had clearly overbooked and underquoted), but if I'd know about Joe Runcak (who is a great carpenter and thoroughly professional) then I suspect it would have been the ideal.

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
