Keef
I have some lovely chicken fillets that need eating... I'm thinking Fajitas tonight! (with some hot pepper sauce for extra zing!). Mrs Keef is veggie, so replace chicken with Halloumi.. Mmmmm squeezy cheese!Either that or make a curry... I go through phases of loving cooking, and then not bothering for ages and eating easy stuff. SeanMacGabhann
Good choice Keef.... but Hot Pepper Sauce...... orORDragon's Blood!!Actually Pepper Sauce came to my rescue at the EDT on Friday night when they set up the hotdog stall. What is with hotdogs?? That's all hotdogs everywhere... Minging "meat" in a bap that crumbles upon touch.. versus.. a nice banger in a decent baguetteWithout the pepper sauce I'm not sure I could have got it down. Brendan
Sean a ?a nice banger in a decent baguette? is a sausage in a bun. A hotdog is a processed meat ?sausage? in a white roll. It is basically just there to hold the tomato sauce and mustard that you have to drench it in to make it edible. SeanMacGabhann
I know - that's what I'm saying. rather than have Hotdogs can't we have "the better version" Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1736-whats-for-dinner-tonight/page/2/#findComment-48697 Share on other sites

Brendan
I don?t know I kinda like them. Wouldn?t eat them regularly but they bring back fond childhood memories of playing football matches on cold, crisp winter mornings and then getting a hotdog and a fizzy drink from the ?snacks van?. downsouth
I have a confession to make, so do I (the shame). But they must have the friend onions or else it just doesn't taste right.the ones in Ikea cost about 50p (if even that) but there's no onions - what gives? Maybe they expect me to grow my own? Keef
They are sh!t, but they are nice, much like the sort of horrid "burgers" you get at a footy match!Agree though, you can't beat a nice sausage in bread! (especially when it's charred on the bbq!) lozzyloz
Hot dogs and footy burgers. Is this taste over matter? You know it's shite but you can't help yourself and your brain switches of as soon as you try and start to rationalise it. Much like smoking too many fags or doing too many drugs.OK Sean I know drugs aren't as important as food ... Michael Palaeologus
Best footy food is at Kidderminster Harriers - Home made cottage pies and home made soup and you can stand whilst watching the muddy ball being hoofed artlessly up and down the pitch.
