New meditation class starting on Monday 7-8pm at Goose Green Clinic SE22

A NEW MEDITATION CLASS with Jonathan Clark is starting on Monday (13th November) at the Goose Green Clinic, East Dulwich SE22 from 7pm to 8pm and every Monday evening thereafter. (Details attached). Suitable for all levels of experience from beginner to experienced meditator.


The classes will be based on Buddhist meditation so will include Mindfulness and other forms of Buddhist Meditation such as Metta Bhavana (Loving Kindness). Ideal for anyone who wants to explore Buddhist meditation or has undertaken a Mindfulness (MBSR) Course and wishes to continue/refresh their meditation practice with guided meditations and added imput.


Jonathan Clark (Suddhaka) has been practising Buddhist meditation since 1992, working with teachers from the Indian and Tibetan traditions. He was ordained into the Triratna (Western Buddhist Order) in 2001 and has been teaching meditation at Buddhist Centres in London and India since 1998. He is currently managing the Brixton Buddhist Centre. He has also been running Mindfulness Courses in London since 2010.


The cost is drop-in: ?12 per session or you can book ongoing blocks of 4 classes at ?42

    • I would look in the surrounding area as once they realise it has nothing they could sell or of obvious monatary value in it they'll dump the bag and contents.

    • Trees, eh? I feel your pain, EDP, but I like the light provided by the pollarding. I'm interested in the gingko, tho.  I love a tree, me - Hillsboro Rd has lost about five over the last 20 years (2x lime, cherry, strawberry, and, er...). The council did take down about 5 ill original lime trees behind our house but then gave us Golden Rain trees. God, if only we had known what a PITA they are. The main problems are massive invasive surface roots which have buggered up my back fence and paving, plus thousands of vigorously self-seeding offspring every year, which I go around pulling up before they turn into trees. And the leaves are tough things, like horse chestnuts, so don't rot easily. I hate them.  Wish they could have been something native and attractive, like birch or something... council isn't interested in helping.  Ah, well.
