Hi,

I posted about this earlier in the Autumn and got a fair few replies but unfortunately I didn't receive any notifications about private messages so I'm just going to put this up again and its first come, first served (with sincere apologies to anyone who did message as well - rest assured I have updated my settings this time!)

Can I interest anyone in taking the following items off my hands?

22 unused dress patterns. All came free from my LoveSewing magazine subscription but as I subscribed before having my two kids I'm now left with loads of patterns and zero time so I've had to pick the ones I really want to make. Looking for someone to take them all rather than individually.

Tin of vintage buttons. Got free at an auction with my vintage Singer machine and I don't have a use for them currently

Bag of assorted fabrics. Most cotton and fat quarter size, some bigger, some smaller. Offering whole bag though rather than pick and choose. Perfect for quilting/appliqu?s.

Pics of patterns and buttons attached. Fabric is basically lots of patterns in all the colours of the rainbow!

Pick up from Peckham Rye/Nunhead but could arrange drop-off in East Dulwich somewhere if necessary

Best,

Pippa.

    • What do you need a solicitor for? What advice do you/they need? Only the courts or the tenants can end a tenancy, the landlord can only require possession. If it is a section 21 that is a "no fault" eviction,  meaning the landlord simply wants their property back vacant. If it is a section 8 it means the landlord requires possession because of rent arrears or some other kind of breach of the tenancy agreement. If there is no notice then it is potentially an illegal eviction. TBH the council are probably likely to advise they stay put until the courts evict them, but that could result in them being allocated emergency accomodation - which could be outside of Southwark and possibly a hotel room or hostel.  As you will be very much aware council housing is rarer than hens teeth in inner London so I would advise this family not to pin thejr hopes on that, they would better off trying to find somewhere more stable to rent privately.
    • If the eviction is coming through an agent, it’s unlikely to be an illegal eviction in which case a solicitor would be an expensive waste of money. Southwark council’s  housing department   gives free advice/help to private tenants. 02075254113

    • Niko is fantastic, he's been my plumber for a few years now. He's honest, reliable, trustworthy and always gives good advice on how to look after your plumbing. In the past Niko has replaced my shower mixer tap, kitchen sink tap and cleared a sink blockage etc. I would definitely recommend Niko, he always does a fantastic job and takes pride in his work. Niko is the only  plumber I would call, really nice guy, always makes me laugh. His number is; 07818 607583. Thanks, Harj
