HammersHamlets
Feel free to message me privately if you'd rather: but do you mind me asking what industry you work in?The reason I ask is I believe that generic "CV Tailors" are useless and will just make your CV blend in rather than stand out. You're better off finding an industry professional who can actually guide you more specifically than just helping you "make it look pretty". dbboy
sorry, but what actually is a "CV coach"? And if you've written a CV what can they do apart from change the layout or alter the language to say the same thing you've a;ready said, or say it more succinctly, but just using different words from those you've used. Its how you use language to sell yourself to an employer, what gets them interested in what you have and are doing.Anyone who reads a CV will have a different way of writing it and presenting it from the person who actually created it.If you work in a specific sector and have done so for some time, is it not likely that they will know who the key sector employers are already, what they look for, the types of roles they offer and what your CV needs to say to get you short listed. Their is no right or wrong CV, apart from being no more than two pages long, that includes;your current and previous employment historyacademic and professional qualifications personal profilename and contact detailsIts what you do and have done in relation to the person spec they have provided and how closely your experience matches that spec which will determine if you get short listed for interview. Anyone can take document A, make some amendments and alterations and create document B, their version of document A. It really is not difficult to do and to be honest is money for old rope because their is never a right or wrong CV. Getting an interview is based on how your experience matches what the employer is looking for in the person who they want to fill the job and actually someone from outside the sector may bring a totally different perspective to the job the employer had never actually considered, breathing fresh life into a role.Oh, and as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd, but then any so called CV coach would know that already wouldn't they??????
