Moving to the area

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could help. My friend may be moving the area with her child who will be in year 3 in Sept- does anyone know how it works re: schooling, I heard you can ring up the schools directly and if they have a space then you get in. Does that apply to schools even if they're not in your catchment?

It's ok, found info on southwark website - called in year admissions

it does say you can go straight to the school but i tried to do that with heber for a year 3 but was told you have to apply through southwark same with hornimans and fairlawn
