Sally Eva
This is a Plus ride starting at 9.30am at Burgess Park Cafe in Chumpleigh Gardens (SE5 0RJ) and finishing there at 1pm. A picture of the cafe is attached. It's properly called Park Life Cafe. It may not bear a close resemblance to the picture in the third week of October. The early start is to get further west on the south side of the Thames than ever before. The late return is to get back. There will be a cafe stop in Wandsworth Park, but with luck we will get all the way to the Putney riverside where the Boat Race starts. The outward leg will be across country to Battersea Park, then along the excellent riverside paths through Battersea and Wandsworth. The return will head down the Wandle in King George's Park and then turn east at Earlsfield and head home via Wandsworth Common and Clapham Common. 16 miles and reasonably flat. The route is here: This ride is organised by Southwark Cyclists. We are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign. Everything we do is free and you don't have to be a member or live in Southwark to join in. All welcome.
