Is anyone up to speed on breast pumps? I bought a philips avent electric one a couple of years ago for baby 1 - used intermittently (he never actually took a bottle!). Got it out to look at it the other day for baby 2 - but it looks a bit like it needs a massive clean. Then I got freaked out after consulting google - open and closed systems? And potential for mouldy old milk to be invisibly present in pump?

So - do you need to buy new for new baby? Or will a good clean suffice? You obv cant clean the actual mechanism very well though...

It was unlocked again this morning though and I definitely locked it last night.   The car was outside my front door and the keys near the door inside so I assume this is a relay theft  issue with someone using a remote key reader. I would advise keeping keys away from the front door. I have reported to police.
