I?m just wondering if someone can explain these to me... a friend tipped me off and said I should look prior to secondary application but I?m not 100% sure I understand what it seems to be saying about schools in Southwark.... it appears that Sacred Heart and St Thomas the Apostle are doing very well in terms of progress whilst students at kingsdale are making negative progress? Is this right? So they actually do worse than if they went to most other schools in the country?!?! Is this right?!! If I?ve understood correctly then Charter doesn?t seem to be making good progress for its students either? I was really impressed with St Thomas the Apostle when I looked round so am leaning that way anyway but if someone can help with this I?d appreciate it

Yes I think you've understood right but Kingsdale is pretty much in national average for progress as so close to zero, probably not statistically significant that it's negative. If you drill down you can get confidence intervals.

Charter has above average progress and Harris boys well above average. You can also get the attainment scores for each school which is an absolute measure of grades achieved- both Kingsdale and charter come out better on those measures.
