It felt good to be part of this cause on this freeeeeezing day. I especially loved the fact that the event was sufficiently big for a police attendance and for the traffic to be stopped! Thumbs up too, to the guy who (I can only imagine) wore perhaps the only pink item in his wardrobe...some flimsy pink shorts...or his underpants...what a stalwart! UP THE HAMLET!

Fecking freeeeezing. Did you see the guy in the pink shorts (or his underpants) Sue? I reckon he was from up North! :)) I also loved the banner which said something like: "I'm prepared to catch pneumonia". Nice to be back indoors.

Didn't see the underpants, sadly.

Saw the banner. I think it said "I'm so angry I'm prepared to catch pneumonia" :))

Crikey, we went home to mulled wine in front of a blazing open fire in nearly April!

That?s correct, but on the understanding that Dulwich Hamlet would be able to return to Champion Hill at short notice, should the opportunity arise. T&M have been a great friend to the Hamlet at this difficult time.

There is only one ?home? game remaining at T&M in the regular season - on Saturday 28th April against Margate.

DHFC have four league games remaining and they are likely to be involved in play-off games on Thursday 3rd and (hopefully) Monday 7th May. These are over one leg only with home advantage being determined by the final position of teams placed 2nd to 5th in the league. Dulwich have already qualified for the play-offs but, obviously, the final league positions remain to be determined.

A brilliant 3-0 win today at third place Folkestone Invicta guarantees that Hamlet will finish no lower than second ? which gives home advantage in the play-offs. The title is still a slim possibility but it'll be Billericay's if they win at least one of their last two games.
Well, moneybags Billericay Town won tonight and are champions, so Dulwich Hamlet will definitely finish second and will have home advantage in the playoff semi-final on Thursday May 3rd. But come along anyway to their temporary home at Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday v Margate to give them a rousing send off for the league season.

    • I can't remember exactly when it was, but some years back a shop opened up virtually opposite Health Matters which was selling more or less the same kind of thing (what were they thinking?!) It didn't last long, I assume because most if not all people continued to use Health Matters. Hopefully Health Matters and H&B are sufficiently different that Health Matters won't be impacted too much. Also, I doubt that assistants in H&B will have the same kind of expert knowledge about what they are selling as the people in Health Matters do - and for some  kinds of products (eg vitamins, supplements, essential oils) it's important to be able to be sure that what you are being told is reliable.
    • I noticed that today, cryptic wording on the shuttering, but guessed that was who it is.  Seems sad that it will likely impact Health Matters
    • I will go to both Health Matters and H&B! I already buy a lot online from H&B in their sales,  - when they  have excellent bargains  for things like 3 for 2  large bags of nuts (which I freeze), and   so it's one high street store I'm pleased to see on Lordship Lane (apart from their weird array of sports stuff and "snacks" with sugar in). I can't say the same for Oliver Bonas, but then I doubt I am their target market 😂
