hi, going to look at this tomorrow - I would love to hear from parents with children actually at the school. There is so much historical 'baggage' with this school (sorry) that I would love to hear from people with kids there - I am hearing lots of positives - The facitilies look amazing so any info very gratefully received

thanks - secondary school bore!!

I don't have any children going there but I do see them making their way too and from school and they are a rowdy bunch. However in saying that many children are. An ex teacher of mine is Deputy and he always struck me as they type to try to get young boys in to positive things so who knows perhaps it is a good school. It only takes a few to give a bad impression to the outside world.

Thanks, Ko!

As per the other thread - we have a son in Year 8 at Kingsdale and are passionate supporters of the school. We have another son in Year 5 at Goodrich and will have no hesitation whatsoever in sending him to Kingsdale.

Reply in this thread if you have any specific questions about the school that I can help with.

    • Does anyone have a thick winter rated sleeping bag they no longer use. I need one for a 3 day adventure bike meeting in Oxfordshire, in January.   Yes, I could buy a new one, but I'm passionate about recycling ♻️ and dont mind second hand goods.

It seems like it's all just grass and the odd duck and gull. If it was stave hill ecological park or nunhead cemetery I could understand, but it's primarily amenity grassland. It's  designed for community events like Gala which a lot of my friends in the borough attend. The park is for everyone's benefit, so it seems very reasonable to allow 1-2 weekends for younger generations that enjoy these kinds of events.
