Hi all,

I wondered how far people travel to take their little one's to nursery and how worth it, it is, to travel for a good nursery? We have been offered a place at the Rosendale nursery which by all accounts is very good but being based in East Dulwich is about a 20-30 minute brisk walk each way. Our little one is currently in a local nursery round here (currently a 15 minute walk) and we've not been too happy with it of late so this offer from Rosendale has come at the right time - in some ways. I'm a little torn as although we're not 100% happy with our baby's current nursery it is fairly near and he is settled there. I'm also a little loathe to re-settle him again somewhere new. However I am thinking that he will be in nursery until he's 4-5 so it might be worth it... in other ways not... how important is it that a child is in best nursery ever at this age??! Controversial?! I'm just trying to weigh everything up as its a big decision and would be grateful for anyone's thoughts and if they've been faced with similar situations.

Many thanks!

It is a really good nursery. But they do stop at age 3 so you will have to change again then, as 3-4 year olds transfer to the school nursery (rather than childrens centre). For the last few years, all school nursery places have been taken by siblings. Good luck in making your decision.
