Sally Eva
This one is a Plus ride lasting longer in order to go further. It starts at 9.30an from outside Canada Water Library (good lifts at the station -- direct connection from Peckham Rye). Return by 1pm. The route is Canada Water to Battersea Park and back. It's another ride along the Thames but this time going west -- easy-paced and lasting 3.5 hours, as much as possible on quiet roads and cycle paths. The likely route is west on the Thames path (National Route 4) to Blackfriars Bridge then on the segregated Superhighway across the bridge. Then onto CS7 to Westminster through Parliament Square down to Millbank, picking up NR4 to Battersea Park. Coffee and pastries at the cafe in the park which is an old favourite and then back southside of the river past the rapidly progressing redevelopment of Battersea Power station to Nine Elms then eventually to Waterloo station down the Cut and Union St down to Q1, then LCN22 back to Southwark Park and Canada Water. The map is here: and previous ride reports are at http://healthyrider.weebly.com/healthy-ride-reports-august_sept-2017.html, including lots of photos from the last ride.
