Hi all,

Our 2 1/2 year old has always been a brilliant sleeper since she was tiny, however in the last couple weeks it has all changed. She now wakes up every night, sometimes at 11.30, sometimes a bit later and then gets out of her bed, and comes and knocks on our bedroom door. We quietly put her back in her bed and tell her to stay there but 5 minutes later she will be up and out of bed again. This will continue for nearly 4 hours. She has absolutely no problems getting off to sleep at 7pm, and has always slept with the light off and the door closed. When she moved to a bed from a cot 3 months ago there was no problem either. Having had a total of about 9 hours sleep in the past 3 nights I have spent today walking into walls and knocking things over. Anyone been through the same thing and have any tips on how to deal with it?

Thanks!

    • I am sorry to  continue this, but I found your previous  comment about me very personal,  disturbing and upsetting, which was why I responded at length. I'm sorry it bored you. I try to stick to facts. I have investigated. You (and anyone else) can go into the "search" settings on here and  do a search on an author's name. So you can (I presume) find all my posts, including any which were  replying  to you. I can't imagine that they are in greater numbers than my replies to anyone else, but you can see for yourself. I guess you can probably also find examples of what you call my "usual sarcasm". I wasn't aware that l had a tendency to sarcasm, though I do find a lot of things funny.  There is no need to reply to this unless you actually find evidence in support of what you said. Sorry everybody else. I had to get it off my chest as I was lying awake last night worrying about it 😭
