Harry, who is leading this one, has worked out another great route. This one starts in Peckham Square at 10am and returns 2 hours later. The usual meeting place is the crescent shaped bench at the foot of the steps facing the library and with the Pulse on your left.

This is a 9.5 mile, flat ride. It starts along Surrey canal path, winds around a little to reach Burgess park, then via Bagshot street to the New Kent road. There will be stops at Newington Gardens (Location of Horsemonger Lane Goal), Angel Place (Location of Marshalsea Prison), Bear Gardens (Location of the Ferryman?s Seat) and Scovell road (Location of Kings Bench Prison). All the nearby prisons in fact.

The return will be via Quietway 1 (Q1), Coopers Rd Mawbey Place to look at the new road closure and Glengall Road back to the Canal Path again. The whole route is here: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/1760844296

https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk -- don't worry that the ride isn't on the calendar -- it's gone AWOL temporarily. It will come home soon.
