MUDDY BOOTS Children's Outdoor Nature Group at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve - returns Friday 15th September. Session time is 10-11.30am.

Sweetcorn is ripe in the fields, so this Friday we will be making these corn dolls/corn super heros to take home.

Sessions will run every Monday and Friday 10-11.30am.No need to book a place, its currently drop in.

Muddy Boots is hands on, engaging, fun and all outside in the fresh air of our lovely Nature Reserve. As always there's digging, watering, exploring and mud painting to keep you busy in the garden. Then we'll have a walk in the woods (distance to suit your child) and head back to the Basecamp for snacks and drinks, songs, stories or poems.

Dress for the weather, its not very muddy yet, so wellies or other shoes that don't matter if they get a bit grubby.

Sessions run every Monday and Friday 10-11.30. They are drop in, so no need to book ahead, just turn up on the day.

Meet up at the big green iron Reserve gates on Devonshire Road (opposite Tyson road) at 10am. There is on-street parking on Devonshire Road and Tyson Road.

Prices: It's ?7 per child, ?10 for 2 siblings, child-minded children discount available.

Recommended for children 14m upwards, but younger can try too. Siblings under 14m go free

    • Another big thumbs up for Will from me. I've had bass lessons with Will over the past year after a 30 year break, and they've been great. He approached our lessons from a songwriting perspective, which was perfect for my needs.  I played bass in a band for a few years in the 1990s but never really knew what I was doing. A year with Will has given me a far better understanding of music theory and how bass relates to other instruments in a band.  Thank you Will!
    • Hi How about finding a neighbour with a cat and arranging reciprical cat feeding?  I have always found that as long as they are fed once or twice a day  cats are fine on their own for 2 or 3 weeks.  Much better than they would be in a cattery.
    • Yes, time to drain the swamp that is the White House.
    • A fair amount hangs on SCOTUS in the coming days. Will they prop up Trump's powers under Executive Orders or choose to support Congress? Some of the Judges are clearly corrupt but perhaps others, like Coney Barrett, will grow a conscience.
