For all you folks who have been messing around with an instrument at home but haven't found any fellow messers to..uhm.. mess with.

We've been going about 9 months now and have a good solid core of musicians across all levels from beginners to pretty good - guitars, ukes, bass players, pianists, violin, saxes, trumpet... Everyone is welcome and the gang are very friendly and helpful to new folks.

It's like community choir but you would bring your instruments instead and have a chance to play with and meet other local musicians. Singers are welcome too - though beware, you may end up accidentally learning to play something... There is also a PA to plug in to should we need.

1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings of the month at Christ Church Hall, on Barry Rd.

7 30 - 9 ish, depending on how we're grooving..often later.

There is a piano, a bass, and percussion already there, plus a few guitars and ukes, should you need to borrow..all free to use.

There will be biscuits!! and tea and coffee

10 pounds per session

    • We probably all got one of these guides, or soon will do. I'm confused about two things. First, food waste. It seems you are supposed just to empty food waste into the outside food waste bin without any containing (compostable) bag. Is that right? Aren't you then going to be constantly washing the outside bin?  Not that it matters much to me at the moment, as my  outside food bin  was just  thrown over the garden wall after emptying and the lid broken off (which then blew away).  Second, rubbish. The guide says "the small amount of waste left after recycling should (sic) be placed in a black bag." But it has a picture of both a black bag and a green bin. Surely you aren't supposed to put your non recyclable rubbish into a black bag and then into the green bin? And if not, why does it not mention the bin, when the recycling section clearly says bin OR bag? Does nobody read this stuff through before it goes to print? Or is it just obvious to everybody apart from me?!
    • I may have the name of the pub wrong but... Did they just paint over a significant mural on the side of the pub? I know people don't consider murals important but this one was painted by a significant artist   Mural by Remi/Rough, side wall of The Bishop, Crawthew Grove and Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London SE22 8EW
    • Autofill, do you remember who in your mum's case notified whom of the code set, and when?
    • there are various charities that provide keysafe installation for vulnerable adults and I am guessing someone got the address wrong. A charity installed one for my mum and just did it without knocking on the door.
