I foolishly answered the door this evening and was then sweet-talked by a pleasant young woman offering a free "exterior assessment", to be arranged over the phone. I even gave her my name and phone number. It seems, in retrospect, that this is some sort of scam (I am now kicking myself). Certainly I have now found comments about this being a scam on other community groups, indeed they were the top results when googling "Red Ball Marketing". Does anyone know quite what the scam is? Is it simply trying to get one to sign up for unnecessary building work or rather something more sinister?

yours worriedly!?

wasn't pushy - he was quite nice for random sales person

i asked him how his company made their revenue

he said that they booked commission from construction companies who would come round and fix asthetic or structural problems with a house
