Is anyone without internet and TVs , had none all day and they are saying nothing til 6 th sept :( two girls at uni trying to study but no internet in dire straights . Any advice how to get internet for a week welcome , hot spot off phone not working well :)

Would a USB connection to your smartphone acting as modem be any better than wifi?

Ask neighbours to share wireless access?

Been dropping in and out for two days on Copleston.

Not ideal (i.e. slow) but you could try BT WIFI with FON - ?6.95 a day, if you register for it via your 'phone should be able to log in via wireless.

Mobile broadband may be an option, where you plug a USB modem into your PC. Three, EE and O2 have these options.
