Roofer Needed

I've noticed a hole in the soffit (think it's the soffit, my roofing knowledge is pretty rubbish)above our bedroom window (first floor, Victorian terrace.) Hole is around 30cm in length and worryingly the rafters are visible. Not sure what has caused it, possibly an animal or bird, don't think it's a leak but will be investigating the roof cavity.

If anyone can recommend a reliable and knowledgeable roofer or builder it would be appreciated.
