Can I also recommend Andy for handyman things and decorating. I have used him about 6 times for various jobs to the extent I asked his to renovate a BTL property I have in East London. He, together with an apprentice completed everything (replaced bathroom suite, full redecoration of the inside and outside of the house, bring back to life the kitchen and strip back the garden which all had been vandalised by the previous tenants). He completed the project in the time he said he would and the finish was of a high standard and was even positively commented about by the letting agent. I will be using Andy for any future work that I need doing.

Think I should add here that I have been ripped off by builders in the past (one to the extent of a £50k) so am very cautious about hiring a new builder/decorator and definitely would not recommend one if I was not 100% about their honesty and reliability.

Also adding a recommendation here for Andy (who I found here on this forum). He and Taylor decorated and replaced the floor in our living room (laminate replaced with LVT). Andy was really helpful in giving us suggestions beforehand, like what to prepare to make their job as efficient as possible, ideas of different styles for trims and features to help us make final decisions, and recommended places to source some of the materials we needed. Really happy we got them in - they were efficient and polite and we felt comfortable having them having them in our home. They finished in good time and we're so happy in the newly updated space! Thanks Andy.

Highly recommend Andy and his helper. They installed IKEA PAX wardrobes for us. I appreciated their care, attention and questions both moving through our freshly painted house and when assembling the wardrobe. Highly recommended and will be in touch again with more jobs!

Another recommendation for Andy Jacob/Andyman!

I’ve been using Andy for a couple of years now, and he’s been very reliable and helpful with a range of maintenance issues and improvements across two flats in Honor Oak. He checks meticulously what jobs need to be done before coming to ensure he has the right tools with him. His work is always of high quality, and he’s great at finding practical solutions to any problem.

I can highly recommend Andy who came over and replaced a mortice lock in my home. It was more complicated than it need be, as standard sizes have changed since it was first put in, but Andy did a very professional job at a very reasonable rate. Can recommend Andy to anyone!

    • And therein lies the problem for this government. They campaigned on a ticket of "we're not that lot and that lot were awful" and if we get in we will change everything. They set expectations way too high about what they might be able to achieve and how quickly and now people are saying "hang on a minute".  With growth stagnating (very much a global challenge), taxation and inflation both rising the pressure will be mounting on them to provide some light at the end of the tunnel and the "well, we've had 14 years of that lot" won't cut it anymore. A bit like the "I am a son of a toolmaker", they are leaning in on the "14 years of that lot" way too much to try a deflect away from issues that they have caused like the Winter Fuel payments and going after farmers and you can tell people are getting weary of it. And that is very, very worrying for not only them as a political party but the country as a whole as this is when people turn to the populist parties. No-one in opposition has to do anything right now because the government are their own worst enemy with own-goal after own-goal.
    • The P13 bus is currently on diversion between Sainsburys DKH and Peckham Rye station, going via Peckham Rye, in both directions.  This is due to road works in Bellenden Road.  The notices on the bus stops say 'until further notice' and the hole in the road at Choumert Road junction is substantial!
    • agreed Mal and it's not like this new govt is above criticism - there is plenty to worry about or think they are misguided on - but overall there is just about a sense of necessary correction, and that the specific criticism from some on here isn't really all that objective I get they are super unpopular - but anyone voting for ANY party at the last election and thinking a new govt of any hue would be able to turn on taps and make everyone happy given the state of everything was just not taking politics, governance or their own choices seriously enough
    • You could contact Council Adult Social Care Services by email as well. Usually recipient has to be in so they can be told code and shown how to access the keysafe. Are you under Southwark? In which case: 'You can contact Southwark adult social care by: Emailing [email protected] or calling 020 7525 3324 for adults with a physical or sensory disability or who are 65 or older'
