last week I did my first parkrun in Brockwell park & would encourgage anyone who fancies a 5k on a Saturday morning to come along. there are those who complete it in double quick time but most of us are a bit more normal.... I finished in just over 30mins

it is a timed run & is free... best of all you can be in the cafe for justifiable cakes by 10!!

have a look at this..... Brockwell parkrun

I hit Brockwell 30 minutes into my 3.5 hour prelondon marathon long run at about 9am and it is a bugger to be overtaken by 100 runners, including people pushing children in buggies and indeed children pushing themselves. Looks like a great run though. The chap who wins it every week is an impressive athlete.

    • Hi I am looking to join some local businesses networking events and wondering if anyone can recommend any. I know there used to be one (Cooking with Scissors) but that’s not running any more. Thanks.
    • Eats Dulwich has just reviewed Arapina, including its hot chocolate!  I assume they read the original first and  very long post on this thread before almost all of it was removed. Interesting to have another opinion!
    • I see you have just reviewed Arapina's  hot chocolate 🤣
    • HA! If only . . . The other night I took the 37 from Herne Hill to Goose Green, only it was diverted via Denmark Hill. That would have been ok, except when the driver reached the junction for Denmark Hill she wasn't allowed to turn right as there were road works on Dog Kennel Hill starting at 8pm and all buses were being diverted via Camberwell Church St and Rye Lane.  I got off there at Kings College Hospital, as I figured it was closer to home than Peckham . . .  Still good for my step count I suppose.
