OKIDO is the local arts and science magazine for young children and their families.

Designed to engage children from 3-8 years old in the scientific discovery of the world around them, OKIDO is delighted to introduce a series of live make-and-do sessions on the last(ish) Sunday of each month from September until Christmas at Copper Beech Cafe at JAGS.

Here's your chance to come and meet the people behind the magazine and the hit TV show Messy goes to Okido, learn something new, take part in some fun activities and make new friends.

Each one-hour slot will include demonstration and teaching sessions led by workshop facilitators from the magazine team, great resources and the chance to make and do something new and interesting.

The sessions will all be themed with different make-and-do activities for each session. So if you fancy coming along to more than one session, either on the same day or on different days, please do - they will ALL be different.

September - The Body

October - Halloween

November - Space

December - Christmas

    • We probably all got one of these guides, or soon will do. I'm confused about two things. First, food waste. It seems you are supposed just to empty food waste into the outside food waste bin without any containing (compostable) bag. Is that right? Aren't you then going to be constantly washing the outside bin?  Not that it matters much to me at the moment, as my  outside food bin  was just  thrown over the garden wall after emptying and the lid broken off (which then blew away).  Second, rubbish. The guide says "the small amount of waste left after recycling should (sic) be placed in a black bag." But it has a picture of both a black bag and a green bin. Surely you aren't supposed to put your non recyclable rubbish into a black bag and then into the green bin? And if not, why does it not mention the bin, when the recycling section clearly says bin OR bag? Does nobody read this stuff through before it goes to print? Or is it just obvious to everybody apart from me?!
    • I may have the name of the pub wrong but... Did they just paint over a significant mural on the side of the pub? I know people don't consider murals important but this one was painted by a significant artist   Mural by Remi/Rough, side wall of The Bishop, Crawthew Grove and Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, London SE22 8EW
    • Autofill, do you remember who in your mum's case notified whom of the code set, and when?
    • there are various charities that provide keysafe installation for vulnerable adults and I am guessing someone got the address wrong. A charity installed one for my mum and just did it without knocking on the door.
