Please could someone tell me if they know of any afternoon playgroups? there are lots of things going on in the mornings, but we rarely get out until the afternoon due to the little one liking a long morning sleep!

i know there's the peckham rye one o clock club, but just wondering if there are any other free/cheap groups where the little ones can just run around and play?

many thanks xxxxx

telegraph hill playgroup in the park in open all day til 3.30 or 4, I use it in the mornings so I'm not sure what they offer in the afternoons but it is free council run, cup of tea costs 40p, there is a nice outside area with cars, scotters etc and they always seem to have arts and crafts of soem description inside plus the usual home corner, toys etc. easy parking, worth a drive.

    • Hi there!   We are looking into getting a side return and loft dormer. I wondered if anyone had any experience of working with Resi or GoPlans? We'd be keen for there to be an element of interesting architectural design, however can't afford a traditional architect. We wondered if Resi might have the edge over GoPlans on this due to the size of the company and the amount of architectural designers they have working for them.    We'd love to know any thoughts you had about these companies or similar!   Thanks!   Julia
    • I’d like to recommend local plumber - James at Trelco Plumbing. I’ve used them twice now, for a kitchen tap replacement and a boiler repair. Both times they were able to attend at short notice, arrived on time and we are very happy with the work they have done. James is polite, responsive and easy to deal with. • Deptford Green and Elm Green anecdotally have a more realistic and compassionate to kids differing needs. Whether that is still the case i'm not sure. Having 3 boys at Charter i would seriously consider a boys school if you have them, Charter East really aren't geared up for the different educational needs of some boys and the challenging behaviour this frustration leads to. I have heard amazing things about St Thomas the Apostle boys school.
    • Thanks everyone for the great recommendations! I wouldn't normally go for vegan restaurants, but I've been to En Root and really liked it. Fresh and tasty.  The Ritzy Cinema in Brixton also sell their food, to eat in their cafe before or after a film (I don't think they sell the whole menu that you'd find in Peckham, but there is a good choice)
