Hi Guys.

On one of my frequent trips on the No 12 several months ago I overheard two TFL fellas discussing the end of the bendy in Feb/March this year. Apparently the oyster system just isn't cost effective 'cos so few people pay for the service/bother swiping their Oyster cards.

Anyone know if this is this the case? For some bizarre reason I actually like the bendy buses but always amazes me how few appear to swipe in when climbing aboard. Also love it when revenue inspectors get on and there's a mass exodus for any available door!

I have a Zones 1 and 2 Travel pass on my Oyster and so never bother swiping on a mid-entrance bus in those zones as I have nothing extra to pay. I only swipe when I am outside of the zones and so pay-as-you-go applies.

I catch the 521 every day and that seems to be the way with most people. There are regular revenue inspections and few people get caught out or try to get off the bus early.

Me too. But that doesn't fit the received wisdom.. or cliche.
