Recommended Posts

Come with us and learn off-road and segregated routes to central London via Blackfriars.

The Bike Train starts at 7.45am from Nunhead station, 7.55am from Peckham Rye Station and 7.55am from Denmark Hill Station. We get to Blackfriars at 8.30am. For further details or to book your place text 07842 640 207 (me). Or just turn up. From Blackfriars we buddy riders to their final destination. Return rides arranged on request.

The map is here:

Nota Bene that the bit from Dulwich Village to Denmark Hill only runs for special occasions and subject to bribery (surprisingly small amounts accepted). So if that?s the bit for you let us know asap so that we run it.

And the cycle.travel map is here: http://cycle.travel/map/journey/41005. The info with the map says we do 500m on major roads so it may not know about the on-pavement cycle lanes on the New Kent Road ? and 130m pushing. No pushing. I?m fine to push when required but it?s not required.

Southwark Cyclists is the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which campaigns for more, better cycling in London. Most of us are members but you don?t have to be. Most of us live in Southwark but some of us don?t and you don?t have to. And everything we do is free

    • Thought you'd said you'd given up and so were going no longer respond to my posts, that didn't last long, cause you just can't help yourself. And their you go blaming the last Govt just like the three stooges continue to do.  I agree that what Truss did was terrible, that's why she got booted out of office after 44 days. But that was then and this is now.  Look at the budget, the impact of raising employers NO contributions means that employers will either reduce the number of people they employ, unemployment will then rise which will result in an increase in the amount of benefits the DWP has to pay. The alternative is that employers will increase the cost of things they sell. That has a knock on effect that things become even more expensive and so inflation duly increases. A further effect is that employers don't expand their businesses and so don't recruit new staff. It turned into s circle of events repeating themselves. The sad thing is that you can't see the long term damage Reeves budget is and continues to cause. You say I'm blinkered, I believe you are. We are never going to agree.  But at least before Labour took Office inflation was down to 2% and the levels of unemployment had never been lower.
