David ,I dont care who gives me the time of day.

You did,not ignore me did you.

Tesco did highlight the minimum wage, and I will rant when people are on the breadline.

Are you and Loz sitting comfortably then,do you live ok on your salaries/ pensions then.

As Ridgely said, what about the shelf fillers, etc.

Its easy to sneer at people, when you feel as superior, has some of you do.

But remember David, even the dull and ignorant have something to say, even you.

Tarot, Ridgely, when the local lefty tells you that are talking unrealistic socialist boolax then it really says a lot about what you are trying to argue.

Besides, apart from a quick revolution where the workers get to control the methods of production (unlikely...) what do you suggest a shelf stacker at Tescos should earn? (I'd ask 'as opposed to what they earn now', but we've already established you don't have a clue what that is.)

Oh gawd - the day-release boys and girls have joined forces.

Ridgeley - genius! You criticise Loz for guessing at your political convictions (he didn't btw) and then call him a Tory. Utter brilliance.

And whilst I'm flattered to be descirbed as the "local leftie" my motivation here is just elucidation. Or just a level of debate that wouldn't make a 6th Form common room look like Chatham House.

You have no idea what on earth you are talking about. You didn't know the nationality. You didn't know the location. You didn't know the salaries. You don't understand European labour laws.

You want shelf-stackers to earn more? Is that it? Is that what you want to say? You want to make a devastatingly salient point about macro-economics and income inequality? Go for it - because I'm all ears. But you don't. You just want a meaningless soundbite without engaging in the issues and as soon as someone pulls you up you start stamping your feet and throwing your toys out the pram. It's pathetic.

I care. About society, about wages, about poverty. Check my posting history. Chances are, on a vague political spectrum, I'm unfortunate enough to share space with you both. But for fucks sake, grow up, read a book and write something that doesn't make me want to gouge my own eyes out due to it's relentless inanity.

That's almost a rather amusing piece of political satire. :)) Keep it up!

Now whose ranting David,I,m sorry I didnt know you were on a day pass.

I think making salient points has resonated with you ol chum.

How do you know I have not already had something published,or still do,you always presume too much yourself.

Have you never been to speakers corner, you will hear all kinds of rants.

Variety is the spice of life.

You can be so caustic, you have not the finesse of Sean on this forum, and Hughnot used the salient word first.

Gouging your eyes out is a bit strong.

Why dont you pursue your political bent.

    • He/she followed me and my friends quite a long way along the road so we worried they might be out of their catchment area. Quite dusty paws which also made me think perhaps they’d been roaming away from home for a few days. Took photos in case anyone is missing them! Very pretty, friendly long-haired black and white cat, leopard print collar, pink paw-print metal tag. They eventually stopped following us across the road from Mrs Robinson.
    • I took it to mean that he was going to present all sides of the argument (for want of a better term) rather than just giving his own opinion. I didn't take it to mean that he was calling "his own views" balanced.
    • I just did this survey. There are a number of problems with it. For example, in at least two questions you have an option "other, please specify" but there is no way to specify what the "other" is. Also, you have several questions where if you have nothing appropriate to answer, you get a statement "this is a required question", or words to that effect, so you have to put in something like "nothing" in order to move on. Can I suggest that this is likely to confuse people so they just give up half way through? Maybe you should test it out on a few people before going "live" with it?
    • I went to Brockwell Lido on a hot day last summer to do some lengths. It was busy.  I kept getting other people's hair, which was floating around the pool, tangled in my hands. It was gross. I'm not sure if that was unusual, or if it's always like that on a hot day.
