?Hello there Huguenot and thanks for the response. You?re entitled to disagree with me but you're not entitled to insult me or make unhelpful judgements about who I might be and where I?m from. Because I have a different view point to your own, that I clearly explained without being aggressive (unlike your own conduct) does not make me an idiot. "

I completely agree how he has not been banned from posting (sin binned) for a week or 2 is shocking indeed! Maybe he is admin or something?? Not only that but he turned me invisible , I still cant see my hands when I type and its effecting the way I structure sentences, ,much too loz's annoyance.

I remember when I was a child and the first Census after the war was held. People were talking about nothing else for weeks, and not filling out your Census form was never mentioned, everyone filled it out without question.

But there again, people did not have the time on their hands in those days to start these infantile protests that I see going around currently.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
