Recommended Posts

Have you ever wanted to learn how to tap dance? Well here's your chance!

Wonderful professional dancer and choreographer Holly Hanton will be teaching adult tap classes over the summer. Full details are as follows:

Singin' In The Rain Tap Dance Workshops at Dance Company Studios, 76 High Street, Beckenham, BR3 1ED

Tues 1st Aug 7:30-8:30pm

Tues 8th Aug 7:30-8:30pm

?9 per class (pay on the door)

If you own a pair of tap shoes, dust them off, if you don't ...beg, borrow, steal, do what you have to ...and if you don't manage to bag yourself a pair of tap shoes, you can still join in the fun with some normal hard soled shoes or trainers instead.

You don't need any previous experience to attend. All welcome!

    • There was a competition to name the old Uplands when it was taken over by the person  who owned the Bishop,  and "The Actress" won for obvious reasons 🤣 The Foresters was vile (in my opinion). I'm interested that there are still problems with the smell from the Gents, because in the Foresters days you could smell it as soon as you went in, and my memory is that  it felt like you were squelching your way over the carpet, though I'm sure that can't have been true 🤣
