Harris girls academy. If the weather is bad you are indoors.

I've had a couple of partied there for my eldest.

Just had my 4 year old's party at Gambardo in Beckenham. There were 12 kids in all. Great fun, stress free as they do all the food. It is a bit pricey but by the time I would have hired a hall and all the food etc, etc it would have worked out similar as I always overcater.

Not sure how many you are inviting though so Gambado may not be an option for you.

The Scout hut came up trumps for us this last weekend when we were double booked somewhere else. The instructions were really clear as to how to use the place and the rates at ?5 per half hour very reasonable for a nice big child friendly space. A wee bit dusty (but a broom helped that) and obviously a scout hut but 15 four year olds loved running about in it so much it is tempting to hire it just for rainy days! Very good choice if (like us) you want to do old fashioned 70s style party (musical chairs etc.) but don't have the space. The email to contact is [email protected].

    • Hi I am looking to join some local businesses networking events and wondering if anyone can recommend any. I know there used to be one (Cooking with Scissors) but that’s not running any more. Thanks.
    • Eats Dulwich has just reviewed Arapina, including its hot chocolate!  I assume they read the original first and  very long post on this thread before almost all of it was removed. Interesting to have another opinion!
    • I see you have just reviewed Arapina's  hot chocolate 🤣
    • HA! If only . . . The other night I took the 37 from Herne Hill to Goose Green, only it was diverted via Denmark Hill. That would have been ok, except when the driver reached the junction for Denmark Hill she wasn't allowed to turn right as there were road works on Dog Kennel Hill starting at 8pm and all buses were being diverted via Camberwell Church St and Rye Lane.  I got off there at Kings College Hospital, as I figured it was closer to home than Peckham . . .  Still good for my step count I suppose.
