Yes I was at tippeetoes sitting to your left with a baby on my lap and a curly haired two year old :) I thought it was you (remember your pic from the NHS brochure!) and thought about saying hi but got shy and you disappeared quickly afterwards :) now I sound like a weird stalker...

Yes I was there too about 4 to your right with little girl and crawling baby boy. I thought it was you because I knew who little Keef was from your post a while back about your mum taking her to tippeetoes. Btw, mini keef at one point was kissing my little girls hair - very sweet. She didn't even notice!

I know, I forgot my badge - perfect opportunity. My toddler was the one having a full on tantrum outside the door as everyone was trying to get in, in case anyone else saw us. She didn't want to leave the playground and I had to carry her under one arm while pushing pram....not an easy feat as she is very big and was very angry!! Perked up once we were inside though.

I liked it. It was our first time there as we usually do something else on a Monday. Its a small space though and was quite crowded. Person leading it was very nice though and did a few different things besides all the usual songs.

We go most weeks and the kids enjoy it. Kimmy (teacher) is lovely and they always love the bubbles and parachute bit at the end. As Anna said though it can get very crowded. I think Mondays are generally for toddlers and babies and there's another class on a Thursday (?) for just babies, so you have the option of 2 classes....


PS Anna I think I saw you as I was trying to get in, I felt a bit sorry for you! Will say hi next time :)

Anna - Whilst awful you have no idea how it cheers me that I am not the only one this sort of thing happens to! Little sb was the same at tumbletots last week and I nearly cried with frustration...took him a good while to perk up too.... X

Yes, she is very free with her kisses, the harlot! ::o


Was with my friend and his little boy. He is much more used to groups than me, as he runs Little Kickers (he used to do it in Dulwich, but has moved oop north and started his own franchise.


I'm not experienced at these groups, but IMO it seemed a lovely group. It is a small space, and from what my mum tells me, it usually gets pretty full, but I think Kimmy is great, and very inclusive of all the kids.

ah thank you, she is very good natured and smiley and quite happy to be carted around to all her sister's activities!


your little girl is very cute too :)

Aww, thanks for the love!!!


I'm in the process of sourcing a larger venue so I can incorporate more movement into my class structure - will keep you informed and truly hope you will all continue to come along.

Ah the whirly.y.gig! What a place. not been in years. Apparently you can now take your kids there! Now THAT would be a venue for a toddler party lol!

      This problem has been going on since before Covid due to the closure of the Dulwich sorting office. The local MP Ellie Reeves is aware and has written to the Post Office. They give the same generic responses about 'temporary' staffing issues. Would encourage people to email Ellie Reeves. It's about time this was finally resolved!

      Sorry to hear you are having issues. Fwiw, we received a regular letter this week. Maybe it's worth asking at the Dulwich delivery office (it's in West Dulwich, though. Their phone number is 03457740740) to see if there are aware of any issues in your particular area?  I've seen cases in the past were the a particular postie was sick and they didn't cover for them, they just let everything accumulate for a couple of days until the person was back.

      Mal, it is related to this issue and if you scroll back a few pages you will see that Brockwell was brought up in relation to this (not by me I hasten to add). Do you not think it seems perfectly reasonable for people to be able to reference a neighbouring event - one that is having a number of challenges not too dissimilar to the ones Gala is having?     These sentences from the BrixtonBuzz article I linked seem very pertinent too:  The concern, they argue, is not just about permits, but about the Council’s repeated failure to follow proper planning processes and its habit of acting in the interests of commercial promoters rather than the local community.   And this: The group is now calling on residents to write to their local MP and councillors, accusing the Council of using legal mechanisms to avoid scrutiny.

      Mal, like it or not, it does have some bearing on other councils. There was an item about it on Times Radio on Sunday - Kate Borsay, a presenter who lives locally, referenced Peckham Rye in relation to the Brockwell case. As the reporter pointed out, local councils will all be talking to each other and closely following how things unfold. If a precedent is set with Brockwell, other councils will be under greater scrutiny.
