Part-tme childcare from September in Herne Hill wanted

Recommended Posts

Are you looking for a flexible childcare/home help job from beginning of September? Are you a student or perhaps you have another job as a teaching assistant or similar and want a few more hours a week? We are a friendly family between Herne Hill & North Dulwich with two girls, currently 12 and 11, both of whom will be at secondary school from September and we need to change our child care arrangements. We are therefore looking for after school care 4 days a week from 4.30 (they get a coach home ? there is no need to pick up - just be at home) to 6.30pm and also for full time, all day (10 hours), care for 4 days a week in the school holidays (about 18 weeks holiday a year although will consider less).

Requirement to supervise homework and prepare snack/tea each evening and a bit of tidying up. Occasionally might need to meet from school in Sydenham if they are finishing late after sports match etc (car is available if driver but easy on bus if not). During the school holidays it would suit someone who is happy to go on trips out, parks, picnics, shopping, baking etc and just basically have fun (with the odd nag about doing some homework!). Children get on well together.

I would calculate the salary on an annualised hours basis to regulate monthly gross pay if you wanted. 5 weeks paid holiday (to coincide with school holidays). This role might suit someone who is studying or who has another part time job etc to fit around their hours, or who is perhaps a nanny with their own baby or child as we would be happy to accommodate. Would prefer the 4 days to be Mon-Thurs but can do another combination of 4 days if necessary so please do ask. Occasional additional hours for babysitting available during the week if interested, but not essential at all. We would prefer Ofsted registered if possible and will pay your annual Ofsted fee if you are registered.

References and CRB check required. Please PM me for more details or to ask me any questions.

    • Sue, Southbank in London  - you must know this and I don’t need to spell it out to you - must be having brain fog…. Libra I believe piggy backs off Three. if you go on ID website, you can see numerous people complaint about service anyway it is a dead subject now as I am leaving them having been with them for over 7 years
    • You said cycling was lovely because private schools are off. They’re not. You’re wrong. You are clearly trying to lean in to that ludicrous claim that private schools are the sole reason for traffic issues in the area.  Do some fact checking…..
    • I don't understand why you need to challenge what I am reporting, what I have witnessed with my own eyes, not what I have seen on line, or what I perceive to support your entrenched views.  I have cycled most days of this week.  The roads are quieter.  I expect that Dulwich College, Dulwich Prep, and Rosemead are off.  Have a cycle in the area tomorrow during school drop off times and then give me your views.  I've not cycled on Townley so can't can't comment on  JAGS and Alleyn's.  The Village was quiet too. Let's face it you have nothing substantial to say.  From my perspective you resort to snide comments.
    • Actually that's interesting. I have had the occasional call cut off, but I thought I must be leaning on something on my phone by mistake. It never occurred to me it was anything to do with iD! But I've never had problems connecting in the first place, anywhere in London (or anywhere else). Maybe I've just been lucky. The only problem I've ever had with iD/3 was quite a long time ago when the whole of the network suddenly went down for a while. I can't remember how long for. Where is Southbank way? Is that where you live, or do you mean you were writing that post while near the Southbank? What network do Libra piggyback on?
