3/4 size (15.5inch) French Viola for sale. Perfect for a teenager/small adult

Recommended Posts

The viola is a 3/4 size Joseph Bernard (French made) viola. It was valued by Guivier of London in 2008 at ?1000. The viola comes with a case, two bows and a neck rest, all of which are in excellent condition.

Looking for ?400-?500 for the viola with all parts included. Serious bidders are welcome to come and try instrument- we are on Copleston Road. The viola must be collected by 13th July before we move.

The viola itself has a rich, deep sound and a warm colour. When I get a minute, I used the viola for about 5 years in the late 1990s, early 2000s. I no longer play, but used it in a number of chamber quartets and orchestras as a teenager. Because of the size of the viola, I believe it would suit either a teenager, or a fairly small adult.

    • Sue, Southbank in London  - you must know this and I don’t need to spell it out to you - must be having brain fog…. Libra I believe piggy backs off Three. if you go on ID website, you can see numerous people complaint about service anyway it is a dead subject now as I am leaving them having been with them for over 7 years
    • You said cycling was lovely because private schools are off. They’re not. You’re wrong. You are clearly trying to lean in to that ludicrous claim that private schools are the sole reason for traffic issues in the area.  Do some fact checking…..
    • I don't understand why you need to challenge what I am reporting, what I have witnessed with my own eyes, not what I have seen on line, or what I perceive to support your entrenched views.  I have cycled most days of this week.  The roads are quieter.  I expect that Dulwich College, Dulwich Prep, and Rosemead are off.  Have a cycle in the area tomorrow during school drop off times and then give me your views.  I've not cycled on Townley so can't can't comment on  JAGS and Alleyn's.  The Village was quiet too. Let's face it you have nothing substantial to say.  From my perspective you resort to snide comments.
    • Actually that's interesting. I have had the occasional call cut off, but I thought I must be leaning on something on my phone by mistake. It never occurred to me it was anything to do with iD! But I've never had problems connecting in the first place, anywhere in London (or anywhere else). Maybe I've just been lucky. The only problem I've ever had with iD/3 was quite a long time ago when the whole of the network suddenly went down for a while. I can't remember how long for. Where is Southbank way? Is that where you live, or do you mean you were writing that post while near the Southbank? What network do Libra piggyback on?
