AnotherPaul
During the last week I have seen him endorse Ladbrokes, Asda, The Sun and Kelloggs.Feel like I'm being stalked. Will it stop soon? ap Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1589-ian-wright-adverts/ Share on other sites
SeanMacGabhann
Its not like he had oodles of integrity to begin with but yeah. . Brendan
Surely he can?t endorse as many products as that Jamie Oliver Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1589-ian-wright-adverts/#findComment-43883 Share on other sites
Annasfield
Ian Wright, Wright, Wright!! Anyone remember that one too? (Always makes me chuckle)I must be honest, I watch very little TV so can't say I've noticed. Nothing like overkill though ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1589-ian-wright-adverts/#findComment-43885 Share on other sites
Jah Lush
He really is embarassingly crass isn't he. Is there nothing this man will not do to keep himself and his plebian matey profile off the telly? Then again he always was a bit of a wally. *Bob*
Does anyone recall his recent 'dwarf' gaff.. during halftime commentary of some recent-ish England game?Wonderful. Jah Lush
Well, his own step son Shaun Wright-Phillips you could argue is a little challenged in the height department but you wouldn't call him a dwarf would you. AnotherPaul
At least Oliver does something and endorses his own products so has a bit of industry about him. Wright is just Wright, all matey loud and pointless - perfect for advertising sh!te. There's been a lot of celeb endorsements recently, it's in vogue for supermarkets it seems. I loved/hated Denise Van Outen wandering through a field with a nicked trolley was taking it a little far though. Not a word of 'this is all muddy and the wheels don't work'. David Mc
Who is Ian Wright? Or is that precisely why I'm always crap at sports questions in pub quizzes?! Brendan
He's a footballer David, who used to play for arsenal, then was transferred to various other teams and now plays for Kellogg?s.Actually, has he endorsed as many products as teams he played for? Keef
I like him, think he's a nice character. He did this programme last year with a bunch of typical fat lazy kids where he tried to get them motivated to do a bit of sport. He seemed to really care, and was so frustrated both by the kids, and their parents who didn't seem to give a toss.He is a bit of a wally at times, but a nice fella.Think I'm right in saying Shaun is his adopted som, not his step son... Not sure though. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1589-ian-wright-adverts/#findComment-44045 Share on other sites
boosboss
I saw him in Toys R Us on Old Kent Rd a few years ago. He refused to give his autograph to a 10 year old! Real nice bloke eh! Peckhamgatecrasher
I saw him at Highbury - he's a brilliant actor. Went down clutching the back of his head claiming a coin had been thrown. After heroic recovery he got up massaging front of head. Paul Daniels must have been in the crowd: amazingly the referee could find no coin. mockney piers
I've never really forgiven him for the 'trashing the ref's telly' incident.Get yourself sent off and kick up some antics, all to publicise your new show after your imminent retirement.Idiot. AnotherPaul
Keef, sorry but doing a program about helping overweight kids and then endorsing Kelloggs brilliantly cover all 'if you eat breakfast you'll be great at school' line seems hypocritical to me. That message and his grinning mug feature on coco pops boxes. Nice though coco pops might be, healthy they're not. I would *love* to see Wrighty, Vorderman and Moyles tied together and chucked in the Thames. Too harsh? Answers to? Keef
Okay okay.. I still like him though... The goal celebration he did with Ruddock (whilst both playing for West Ham) taking off the DiCanio / Paul Alcock thing was reason enough! fish
Anyone watched GMTV this morning - re: the incident of assault on a traffic warden, by someone with him? He doesn't even bother to get out of his car, until things really get out of hand. His car was parked in a residence bay, without a permit. Shameful behaviour, indeed. AnotherPaul
That is a trick question. It's impossible to correctly choose between Ian Wright or Jade Goody.Anyway, they are both wrong and should stop. Brendan
You are correct there Paul, Ian Wright is a striker and Jade Goody is quite clearly a naturally built goal keeper.
