Sharing this for anyone who's interested in getting involved after I spotted a form in the library. Couldn't see an existing thread so apologies if this is a duplication.

Southwark is proposing to stop NHS prescriptions for:

1. 'Self-care medication' (medication you can buy over the counter for eg headaches, hayfever). I find this one worrying as, while it sounds reasonable, given how the proposal is worded I think there's a risk of people feeling it means they can't consult the GP about these kinds of problems when some people may still need to do that.

2. Malaria prevention

3. Some travel vaccinations

Closing date for feedback is 20 August. Apparently it opened on 26 June.

    • The Council allowed The Co op rear customer car parking area to be built on and as a result, the roads around, had customers parking in their road. and the Councils answer to that is CPZ in the whole area. the residents of Ashbourne grove do not want CPZ, as they feel its just another stealth tax, and that the money is going into street maintenance, for which we already pay exorbitant High Rates. another income for life for the Council and will increase year on year like the garden waste bins and cycle bins.
    • How mean-minded to call the creative project of a group of enterprising youngsters, using their time productively 'foul'?  Surely taking the initiative to set this u,p so young people can be outside and exercising is a positive and productive thing to be admired? 'Underage drinking and drugs' are more likely to happen when young people have nowhere to go and nothing to do (plus they can take place anywhere!) . How is a derelict pub better?
