Charity exhibition / colouring book at Peckham Pelican - on now

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have created a colouring book (suitable for adults and children) to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice and LOROS Hospice. It's in memory of my Mum who died last year. 35 of my character designer / illustrator friends have made a page of the book each so there's a real mixture of styles. I am displaying the artwork, and quite a few pieces of original art at the Peckham Pelican until 23rd July. There's an opening party this Thursday 7-11 with funky dj's and cheap beer. I'll be there selling the books (they are ?10) and will be there at weekends and Thurs/Fri evenings as work permits. You can alternatively order a copy online here : www.klanimation.com/smile-for-a-while or email me at [email protected]. Please help support these worthy causes, and have some fun colouring in quirky pictures! Thank you, Sarah.

    • Have you asked the school admissions officer? I'd imagine ED more likely than ND...
    • Help! We need an ideally professional photographer willing to work free or low cost for a few hours in Santa's grotto at our school fair. We can offer publicity amongst school community and fair visitors in return and it's always a great fun event. Plus halo shining having helped us raise vital funds for our children! Please get in touch for more details or to arrange a chat with the photographer who helped previously (she's otherwise engaged on the date). THANK YOU!
    • Agree, plus always worth emailing local councillors if community police not helpful with offering advice and support.. tho my experience is community police are very understanding  How did you find out? Police info? Robbers on bikes and scooters is rife everywhere in London sadly. My advice to my son is keep off your phone, be aware of your surroundings, stay around people and well lit roads as much as possible, and if anyone asks for phone or money hand it over without a struggle. My friend's son was mugged outside Finsbury Park station and it terrified him, robber had a knife and said he knew where be lived. Scary stuff. Near my work in the west end phone theft is rife too. Especially now certain metals are more scarce I imagine there's a real market in phones being sold on. Stay safe everyone and let's keep to practical solutions as building police presence back up will take years, so productive ideas such as more CCTV etc emailed to Ellie our local MP I feel would be far more constructive than posting critical political comments here.
