I'm really sorry to share that a cat has been hit by a car and killed at the junction of Dunstans Road and Crebor Street. I only heard the commotion from inside my flat and don't know the full details of how it happened. The cat has been placed under the tree on the pavement opposite from the junction. Does anyone have any advice of what to do? The people involved said they were going to try and do something but have left the scene.

I saw the cat as I walked home just now, and as children walk past there to Goodrich School in the morning, and for safety from foxes, I have put in a box and moved to my garden a few houses up the road. I will take it to the vet for scanning in the morning, but if anyone knows the owner, or if it is your cat, please call me.

Rachel

Very sorry about your cat, but also that was a heartwarming thing to do.

It is bad enough losing a cat, but at least knowing what has happened to her hopefully makes the situation a little better than it might have been.

Many thanks for kind posts. Thanks for this forum we found out about roxy. We could still be thinking we're she is right now. Feel sorry for the driver too. Thanks for stopping and putting her kerb side Hope your ok. Thanks again Rachel xx

    • It’s even worse this weekend, the bass is unbearable.    The fact SE22 is getting upset about something in an entirely different Borough probably suggests how bloody loud it is that we can still hear it from here!? It must be awful for those living right next to it as I feel stressed enough from half an hour away. I don’t see any benefit to the local community, it blocks off our green spaces, makes it deeply unpleasant to be at home every weekend, and most attending will be from outside of the area. I also wonder if these events are the reason there are so many dead fish currently bobbing around the lake in brockwell park? Pretty miserable for the local wildlife too.
