Seeking nanny from 3rd week of July

Unfortunately our amazing nanny of three years will be leaving us to start a new career, so we will require a nanny/housekeeper from the end of July of 2017 on a full time, live out basis.


Nanny work:

-Drop off/pick up boys from school;

-Ensure they complete homework and assist them with homework where necessary;

-Organise and supervise playdates;

-Take / pick up kids to / from afterschool activities (e.g. swimming);

-Wash boys 'clothes, towels and linens and lay out school uniform for next day;

-Feed them snacks, pack them school lunches and make them a light meal for dinner;

-Supervise bathtime each day;

-Ensure boys tidy up their rooms and playroom, put away toys, etc.


Housekeeping work:

-Wash dishes/fill/empty dishwasher daily;

-Make beds daily;

-Ironing weekly;

-Change and wash linens weekly;

-Hoovering whole house weekly;

-Mop kitchen and bathroom floors weekly;

-Clean both bathrooms weekly;

-Dusting / tidying daily; and,

-Put away groceries when they are delivered, and assist us with keeping a grocery list.


Hours 8am - 630pm, but will need to have some flexibility from time to time. No public/bank holidays or weekends are required. Nanny/Housekeeper must take their five weeks paid holiday at the same time as family takes our holiday; this will be during school holidays.


Preferred candidate:


-Candidate should be a mature, reliable, energetic individual with good English language skills and a good educational background (degree not required).


-Highly prefer someone local to south east London area and an easy commute to East Dulwich.


-References required for roles in a similar line of work--this could be from previous nanny roles, other childcare work or teaching/teaching assistant work.


-Only candidates that can commit to the role for more than 12 months will be considered.


Salary is gross ?28,000 per annum, and we will also contribute to a private workplace pension. Payslips will be provided by an independent nanny tax service, who will handle all PAYE and NIC administration.

    • Yes, the barry Road side of Peckham Rye, where if you want to go to Nunhead there is no right turn towards Nunhead Lane 
    • Yes, you needed to drive for work.  That is not true for many journeys where you can use public transport, walk, cycle and for many now on office jobs, and even some on site, you don't need to travel at all and can meet remotely.  This week I have cycled for work to Vauxhall and it is lovely as the private schools are off.  No morning congestion around the Harvester.  Even quieter next week when the state schools are off.  Which always begs the question how many children really have to be driven to school  That said I don't see any issues with displacement for this scheme.  Do enlighten me why people will need to change their route.
