where to dispose of sharps?

have tried the doctors and the chemist. i have a one-off set of sharps to dispose of. where can i take these?

Would one of places that operate a needle exchange service be able to help?

Try Googling 'disposal of sharps in Southwark' - that gives lots of links, including one to a form you need to fill in and get counter-signed by your surgery etc. and send off to the council for them to arrange collection.

I know there was a bin to dispose of knives in the Sainsburys carpark next to the nursery. I don't know if it was just for knives or not.

Pharmacies used to take them, but don't now, I believe. The disposal process now requires lots of forms. Rather like florescent tubes. After a knee operation (and a series of anti-clot injections) I had to take sharps (and their box) back to the hospital that issued them, for disposal.

yes this is the issue i have - I've been discharged from the midwives who su[plied them and just want to drop them off sonewhere, i suspect i will need to make an appt for them tp pick them up but was hoping to avoid bothering them.

No GP surgeries will not take - I was given a form to complete and send off to Southwark - have not got around to doing it yet.
