New Sling Pop-Up Lending Library & Shop - Starts 16th June 2-4pm @ The French House

Recommended Posts

Hi East Dulwich Parents (and parents-to-be),

I'm very excited to announce the launch of East Dulwich Slings, a pop-up sling lending library & shop, starting next Friday 16th June. You can either drop in, or (to speed the process up when you hire or buy) it would be helpful if you could pre-register for your visit at: www.eastdulwichslings.co.uk/pop-up

It will currently be running on Fridays from 2-4pm in the French House, 52 Lordship Lane, with further pop-up activities and locations tbc in future.

I am also running pre-booked teaching workshops and consultations, available to book on the website and with an expanded offering coming shortly.

Check out the collection we have to offer to hire or buy at: www.eastdulwichslings.co.uk or follow on instagram (@eastdulwichslings) or facebook (www.facebook.com/eastdulwichslings).

In terms of background, I am a local midwife, who also provides antenatal courses with The Group Antenatal (www.thegroupantenatal.co.uk)and a trainee babywearing consultant. We stock a range of stretchy wraps and buckled carriers, mostly suitable from newborn + and available to hire or to buy. I also have a smaller selection of toddler specific carriers, meh dei, ring slings and woven wraps. Please note not all stock is necessarily shown on the website at all times, as I have two small children of my own! If there;s something you are looking for, please let me know as I may well have it in stock or be able to get hold of it for you.

Look forward to hearing from you with your carrying questions!

Rachel

    • That name ('on the Lordship') really makes me cringe.
    • Just re-read the document. So they're making the east side of Peckham rye buses only? Is that likely to impact lordship lane? I'm in favour of the extended pavements, safer crossings and segregated bike lanes. I imagine that making the east side of the rye a fast bus route will improve journey times too.
    • You will have to explain this one to me, it looks to be improving bus and bike journeys, which is a good thing.  Traffic is always backed up the Rye during rush hour/term times, having used this route to commute for two decades by bike.  I'd welcome safer bike journeys. I'll have a longer look later.
    • Yes they piggy back off three - found a number to actually speak to them. We’re not fussed I was leaving, said they were having problems. Really is ridiculous - have worse reception in London than Devon - doesn’t connect at all now and I am along Southbank way. Calls keep being disconnected. Sadly, I am done with them - overcharged me for one month and not refunding. Going to Libra - not possible  to be as bad as ID - literally been going on for months and as they admitted last year to me when I was having problems with their ap “ yes, we have been experiencing problems”!,
